Dr Harris – Established 1790

We have stocked the mens grooming brand Dr Harris for longer than I can remember, the smells of Windsor and Arlington have been wafting around the shop in one form or another at least the last decade.

Established in 1790 (230 years ago!!!) they are still doing the absolute business when it comes to looking after us fellas. Whether you are looking for shampoo, deodorant, beard conditioner, moustache wax they’ve got it covered. And with 2 Royal Warrants, one for the Queen and one for Charlie they’re pretty well thought of in this country and the world.

The warm leathery scent and notes of Black Pepper, Amber, Patchouli, Cedarwood, Vanilla and Vetyver of the Windsor range appeal to nose of Gary, although he can’t smell anything…. Whilst for Neil it’s all about the light Citrus notes mixed with hints of Fern in the Arlington range, he is still able to smell!!

With my own sense of smell remaining in tact I like them both, most mornings the Tonic sock Director Ellie Bickley will help with my choice for the day, with her young, keen sense of smell and instinct for what the day ahead holds she invariably gets it spot on!

So after a tough year why not smell like the Royal family as we enter 2021, what could possibly go wrong…

With a really keen environmental policy they continue to look to the future:

They no longer use cellophane to seal packets and nearly all of the materials used are recyclable. Glass bottles can be re-used and wooden bowls can be re-filled. They also source as many products as possible from the UK, cutting down on delivery miles and supporting British business. And since June 2018 they have been working with partners Eden Reforestation Projects.
