Happy Christmas!
 
We’re winding down now as we approach Christmas and limping towards the finish line, it’s been a busy month to end a challenging year. I just want to take this opportunity to say thanks for your support, thanks for the friendship and your custom, we are nothing without you.
 
2023 has been a challenging year for many, this was especially brought into focus at my recent visit to Kensington and Chelsea Foodbank (KCFB). I went down to meet the team with our donation from our anti-Black Friday event. 
 
KCFB is based at Notting Hill Methodist Church 40 Lancaster Rd, W11 and is seeded by the Trussell Trust that operates all over the UK and this year aim to distribute over a million food parcels.

Trussell Trust’s vision is to end the need for food banks in the UK, however, the emergency support is still massively needed and achieving this goal is not going to be in the short or medium terms as people are struggling to afford to buy even the essentials.

I am genuinely disturbed that in a wealthy country such as the UK that we have the need for such places, and in Kensington and Chelsea being one of the richest boroughs it is beyond belief.

– Currently KCFB welcome clients only on Tuesdays and Fridays on both days they operate 11.00 – 13.00
– For donations they are open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (9.30am – 3pm)
