We’d love you to join us on Thursday 23rd October to celebrate 25 years of Tonic at a very special birthday party we are throwing at UNDR on Portobello Green.
From 6pm til late there will be music, drinks and more featuring Ewen Spencer, In Light Of Aquarius and Bill Brewster.

Ewen Spencer, established UK music and fashion photographer who has worked throughout many youth subcultures with photography for the likes of Face, GQ and Sleaze Nation magazines with such artists as The White Stripes, Massive Attack and The Strokes. Ewen was heavily involved in documenting the UK Garage/Grime music scene, photographing artists such as Kano, Dizzee Rascal and The Streets, along with producing several books on the UK music explosion. Ewen is a long standing Northern Soul fan and collector so do expect many Deep Soul cuts to be played, all from original 7s.
In Light Of Aquarius Play a party collection of rocking rhythm and blues, popping soul and killer rock n roll all from original 45’s records. Ben and Richie have been playing for over 20 years as In Light Of Aquarius at the major UK music festivals with regular slots at Glastonbury, End Of The Road, Bestival plus many other clubs in Europe. They have been invited to play across fashion and artist parties for the likes of Esquire /Dior, Warpaint, Fat White Family, The Strokes, The Libertines, Franz Ferdinand, Jarvis Cocker and many more.
Bill Brewster The legendary club DJ and writer of the respected club bible on the music and the clubbing history which is entitled ‘Last Night A DJ Saved My Life’, Bill began DJing in in the late 80s, but he cut his teeth playing ‘Low Life’ warehouse parties in Harlem and the East Village – he moved to NYC to run DMC’s US operation – and anyone hearing Bill today can see how these New York ‘roots’ shine through. For eclecticism, surprises, amazing unique music and sheer long-haul dedication to the dancefloor, Bill’s your man.
“What Bill Brewster doesn’t know about disc jockeying is probably not worth knowing.” – Jockey Slut
