Shop Update

This week, along with many other retailers we eagerly await news from the government and their plan for easing the lockdown. It has been 6 weeks already since I closed the shop and looked ahead to an uncertain future.  To be honest not a lot has changed in this respect, the future still looks fraught with difficulty and challenges for all of us.

My personal hopes are that we all come through this safely and with a new perspective of what is important and what isn’t so important. I’m hoping for a positive legacy with a renewed sense of community.

Whatever is decided this week I don’t think things will ever be the same for shopkeepers like myself.  We will have to find ways to adapt to a radically different retail world of long term social distancing rules and nervous customers. I have always prided my self in the friendly and welcoming atmosphere that we have at Tonic so when we are allowed to we’ll be ready to welcome you back. Hopefully Gary will have some new jokes…

For the time being though, I’ll continue to operate as a one man band, I will be at the shop on Tuesdays sending out online orders, taking a few product pictures and checking everything is ok.

If you do fancy buying something we’re here for you.  Any local orders will still be delivered by hand and we have added a ‘collect in store’ option at the checkout if you’d like to drop by to pick up an order (socially distant of course)

As as sign of our appreciation for your support we are continuing to offer 20% discount on all purchases until 23.00 15th May.  To get the discount just type in ‘SPRING20‘ at  the checkout and we’ll do the rest.

The discount code will also apply If you would like to support us by buying yourself a Gift Voucher to spend in store when we re-open.

Here’s to the future ✊
